I found doing the first ISOULECTION mix really cathartic during the lockdown and the feedback was great. It seems people are hungry for the more soulful stuff to help ease them through these tougher times.
After a bout of the dreaded Covid myself and just before the UK announced plans for the route out of lockdown I decided to do another mix along the same lines. Not sticking to one genre but reaching for those tunes that have a real soulful feel.
I went from classic soul and disco (Gap Band, Chaka Khan, Bill Withers etc), through some Hip-Hop (Fugees, Mac Miller etc), dipping into RnB (Sade & TLC etc) and into some house (Daft Punk), Reggae (Bob Marley) and beyond.
120 mins of soul soothing sounds for these tough times!
